“Over a billion of the world’s people live on less than $2 a day.  The health of the very life systems of the planet are seriously threatened.   It is these crucial issues that are being addressed in the process leading to the United Nations World Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, June 20 to 22. Thousands of participants from government, NGO and other groups, and the private sector are presently involved in Rio+20 negotiations and will attend this major world event. Over 120 heads of state, not yet including President Obama, have registered for Rio+20.  It is imperative that the US provide genuine leadership that contributes to an honest assessment of and genuine solutions to the life threatening problems shared by us all.”,   Suzanne Golas, csjp
